At first glance, I thought a beetle or some other arthropod was perched on this pitcher. Upon closer examination, discovered a failed jailbreak instead. Yellow jacket was already dead.
Nearly made it! Haha. I did wonder if wasps maybe sting if they are trapped inside? This is cool to see though. Never thought of prey attempting to chew out.
