Hey Fred, I am a bit late to the game but I had to say... beautiful plants as always. And from the detail you provided it sounds like you moved to "the other" coast :) Looking forward to seeing any flowering pictures in 2020 and more pictures of your collection.

Out of curiousity, what are the two plants in the second row from the bottom in the post directly above mine? I love the dark red on both. THe one on the left is striking! Reminds me a bit of Sarracenia 'Legacy'

Bought a couple nice Sarrs from Fred P. Extremely pleased at the quality of the plants! And, he's a super nice guy and a pleasure to deal with! His plants are nothing short of stunning, as these photos show. I'll try to post photos of their progress, as they are just rhizomes now.
Thanks again Fred... Hope you have a great growing season!
Keith

Thanks BG and yes, I'm on the "other" coast now and loving it. I'll certainly be posting more this year....they are just now sending up flower buds but unfortunately, I usually snip off most of them. I'm leaving a few of those that I want to cross and a few that I just want to see bloom this year.

The two plants you're referring to in the post above are two crosses I made a few years ago. The left one does look a bit like 'Legacy' but the throat patch is bigger and darker than 'Legacy'. I think this one needs a name and I probably will name it this year sometime. The one on the right is 'Judith Hindle' x 'Royal Ruby'. I have a few siblings of this cross and they all look great. Looking forward to this one as a specimen plant.

Thanks for the kudos Keith. It's been a pleasure chatting with you. Good growing!

Dude, your Sarracenia are INSANE! Anyone that didn't like Sarrs, has to by the time they get done looking through this thread. Period.

Those pink lids... ugh!!

*looks at Fred's collection*
*looks at my collection*
*looks back at Fred's collection*
*looks back at my collection*
*cries*

Okay, so I have some nice things finally taking off too, but damn. All the high contrast...

Thanks Andrew but that's my plan......try to get everyone hook on Sarrs !!

LOL Hawken, thanks! The game changer for me was moving to a climate where my collection could be left outside year round and now that I'm in NC, all the better.

Quite the collection. Do you sell any? I am fairly new to CP's and I am working on getting several Sarrs, Drosera and VFT's together. Just curious, have you ever checked out Mike Wang's collection? It is my understanding he is down your way. Mike Wang's Sarracenia for sale | The Sarracenia Forum

Hi Andy. Its been a while since I've been out on the forum so forgive the late reply. I do sell plants in the winter/Spring and right now is a good time since I'm in the middle of dividing and repotting. PM me if you're still interested. BTW, Mike Wang is in northern CA and I'm just north of Charlotte in NC

I was just about to ask if you sold any, haha. I'll be PMing you, your collection is great!!

No problem on the late reply. However, I am currently out of work and on disability and my wife kind of put the kabash on my plant buying until we are able to get caught up.(In reality, do we ever really get caught up?) I am still interested so keep posting. Sooner or later I will be buying again. My bad, not sure why I thought you were in Cali also. Thanks for the reply.
