why is darlingtonia known as "the Cobra Lily" ?

  • #16
because of the 2 leaves that look like fangs growing from the pitcher lid

  • #17
Because the leaves look like cobra heads, and they grow in wet areas like water lilies

Hi Guys,
Unbelievable as it may seem, there is a Cephalotus here in the UK which grow pitchers slightly larger than 4". Must be the largest!
