Darlingtonia question

I just transplanted my darlingtonia. It had loads of dead growth on it that I trimmed away. In the middle of it all, there was a long healthy looking root that seemed to come from the plant. on the root there was one swelled part that looked almost like a tuber. I am not very experienced with these but I have never heard of them forming anything like this...

It might be the start of a runner, a root the grows along the surface and sprouts up with a new plant at the end. Runners can grow really long, sometimes wraping around the inside of the pot a few times before sprouting. Keep an eye on it an maybe soon you'll have 2 Darlingtonia.
