Dixie Lace

Just purchased a dixie lace from an exotic plants place and the proprietor said that it is a cross between a leucophylla, purpurea, and alata. Just making sure it's correct.

eh I thought dixie lace was psitticana x leucophylla. but I don't know my sarrs.

The parentage of the registered cultivar 'Dixie Lace', as described by the ICPS, is:

Sarracenia leucophylla, Sarracenia rubra subsp.wherryi, Sarracenia psittacina, Sarracenia purpurea

S.psittacina x leucophylla is called S, x wriglenya.

yeah, it's (leuco x rubra) x (psitt x purp)

i don't know where that guy got the alata from. maybe he was just making an educated guess.

Must be S.p.purpurea though to give the plant such cold hardiness! Especially when you think about how S.leucophylla and psittacina arent very cold hardy.:D
