Make sure it catches as many insects as possible this year and you'll have more chance of flowers next year.

Alvin has a point. there are many things that will trigger flowering. A very cold winter, droughtlike conditions followed by incredible wet, and last but not least, the plant wants to flower for whatever reasons we cannot fathom. Don't count on flowers this year, but be prepared, a plant might just send up a late season flower just 'cause! Never count on a blooming season, sometimes you will get nothing at all, and all for no apparent reason.
