Yeah, that is my terrarium. 20 Gallon Long tank about to upgraded to a 33 Gallon Breeder tank which has all the dimensions of a 55 Gallon tank but without the excess height, allowing light levels to be closer to the plants. I am using 80watts about to be upgraded two fold and that should send coloration all over the plants.

I built onto the back and sides of the terrarium a reflector set-up and use a removeable front that is also reflective to abuse the little light I have into a reflective frenzy.

The lid is screened but has seram-wrap attached to it to assert humidity into the micro environment. There are several methods I use to allow ventilation without disturbing humidity levels intensely so that fungi or mold do not occur. They were just misted, so that is condensation, not any sort of damage to the plant(the droplets or gleams of light on the leaves).

Down below will be my personal rescue collection of a S. Purpurpea of some sort that I cannot classify if I tried. Possibly venosa...possibly.

Yeah, my camera work isn't the best but well, I wanted to display my personal collection to everyone even though it's not even close to par with anyone. Oh well. I hope you enjoyed anyway. Also, sorry for the oversized pictures, it's the only way they would come out any sort of decent.

Yes very nice, they are very comparible to the other pics. It is always nice to see terrerium setups.

Wesley, That S. flava "Marston Dwarf" looks so nice. Is it still a midget at about 16" tall??

  • #386
yay, I might inherit some S. Marston Dwarf seeds, as well as I just ordered my first N. hamata, nice pics guys

Thanks again to everyone for posting photos - you all have some great looking plants. Here are two more of my favorites. One still looks great, the other is a bit past prime. The first is my favorite copper top flava. I really like the shape of the pitcher and the large lid. The next is a favorite alata from Texas with a huge lid. I have a few different alata from this county and they all are very different.

Hope you enjoy.

Here is my unknown hybrid H-5. Brooks (Sarraceniaobsessed) posted a photo of it on October 11 (page 37 of this thread).
This is the plant in spring, with a lot of green coloration

and here it is in mid October (yesterday), with much more red and closer to Brooks' photo.

Wow nice Bob:) Looks like it might have oreophilla, purpurea, and possibly flava as well. My guess would be S.(flava x purpurea) x oreophilla.

  • #397
mine doesnt look like that, but then again its oro x (flav x purp) so pondboys probably right, BTW pondboy your package should go out october 19th

Cool:) I`ll try to get yours out soon as well. You where wanting the S.flava "cutthroat"? Right? And by aquatics do you meen Utrics? Or just aquatics like pond plants? If you meen pond plants I`ll send you some 'flamingo' water celery. If you meen Utrics I`ll send probably aureus(sp?) and inflata. Btw is the purpurea in it of a known ssp or forma (I doubt it but whats the hurt in asking?)?

well id like the cutthroat mainly, and by aquatics i mean utrics, thanks, anything else would be great
