On Tuesday, I visited Peter and Marilee at California Carnivores and saw a truly spectacular plant. I snapped a couple of photos that, unfortunately, do not do the plant justice. Here is
the S. moorei [S. flava x leucophylla] cultivar registered as
    S. 'Adrian Slack' (B.Hanrahan & B.Meyers-Rice).

That is very interesting indeed as I saw an 'Adrine Slack' at Bob Hanranhan's place and it looks nothing like Bob Z's photo. Mooreis can be a very fickled group of hybrids. They seem to change color from year to year. I have dozens and they are never consistant.

Here is S. 'Adrine Slack' in Bob's bog

But that's not necessarily a bad thing. The plant photo you posted is also striking (& I don't usually like hybrids!).

My favorite VFT is 'fused tooth' specifically because you never know what the next leaf/trap is going to look like. They're all different - keeps you guessing!

Interesting. The photo on the ICPS cultivar site looks similar to Peter's plant:

Whereas, the photo on Barry Rice's site looks more like that shown by sarraceniaobsessed:

I suspect that the color differences are related to pitcher age, time of the year, and light levels, if indeed they are identical clones (as they should be).

    JBL's NASC Auction Donation.

    S. rubra ssp. wherryi x S. alata.

This was an early shot and the petal color had not peaked yet.

I have become hooked on the variation in colors and patterns in this group.
