Hey all,

My H.minor, which I grow uncovered on my windowsill, is now sending up a scape. I did a search, but found little info regarding the stress of flowering on the plants. I was wondering if it is a waste of energy, as in VFTs, or if it will be able shrug it off. It is growing very well, considering I have heard helis do poorly on windowsills... I plan on letting it flower, but what are your thoughts?

Thanks,
Cole

I think it will be fine, I know people who regually let their helis flower(Helis tend to only flower when grown well anyway) and they didnt say that it affected the plants growth short or long term....

Let it flower, it will have no ill effects on the plant and when the flowers finally open you will be glad you left them to grow, they are beautiful.
