From the label, it looks completely inert. Just pure perlite. You just have to be wary of the ones that add fertilizers........why some companies do this, I'll never know.

It's never made sense to me either. If you understand even the basic principles of CEC, you'll realize that it's pointless. Perlite is physiologically and chemically incapable of holding onto fertilizer!!
