A clearer picture of the plant would be of help, and at a greater distance so we can see the whole thing and not just the base, but why do you suspect this is not pure D. tracyi? The plant can have some red in the tentacles. Additionally, unless it comes labeled as such you cannot ever label this plant 'California Sunset' or any of the other x californica cultivars.
