I read on a website that cinnamon is a good organic fungicide for flytraps when they are dormant. The website told me to flicker cinnamon powder all over the bulb, wrap it in moist toilet paper, put it in a plastic bag, then place it in the fridge. Is cinnamon powder a good fungicide?
. My honest opinion I would stay away from trying it. Just the fact it may burn the roots of the vft and may not even kill the fungus. I would just order fungicide from this website.
Note that it says on the first of those two sites that it is not recommended for orchids so I guess it wouldn't be too good for your VFT's either. They'd be even more sensitive?
Cinnamon has been used for a long while by the orchid community and just about any orchid grower that has tried it will swear by it. So not sure what is up with that one article FB found.
