Jmenprkr we can arrange something perhaps.

I have a male N. maxima that is getting a flower. If you want to sex up your female Nep, let me know and I will collect some pollen for you.

Nice pics nep G!!! I especially like that N. lowii "Mt. Kinabalu"!

As long as a new pic thread got started, I might as well brag about a crazy find I made today. I'm going to my doctor's appointment and I find out it's later than I thought, so I figure I'll go pick out a new pot to transplant my pings into. There's a place down the street that's a houseplant warehouse sort of place, and it has tons of houseplants and a small selection of pots. I go in to look, and darn near bump my head on this, a HUGE N. rafflesiana!!! Actually they had 4 of them. I bought two for about 25 bucks total. I'm going to donate one of them to the BACPS raffle or silent auction at the upcoming meeting. This one becomes the largest nep in my newish collection.

Wow! thats HUGE!
biggrin.gif
What kind of raff is it anyway? It looks like the spotted one but mine doesn't have laves like that!

Looks like a typical rafflesiana to me.

Really nice plants, nepenthes gracilis! I especially liked your n. inermis, your n. lowii lower pitcher and the n. rokko "pitcher valley"!

Sweet pics everyone! Nice snag Capslock too! I saw N. Gentle and N. Miranda at my local store, but they were 20 bucks and my finances couldn't cut it.

Congrats everyone!

Sweet pics!  Man, that N. sibuyanensis looks raja-esque, doen't it?  Maybe it's the angle....

That inermis is wild!  I gotta get one of those now...:p

Capslock, you have some luck!  This has to be the third time you've posted that you've run into some HUGE nep at a random store for some dirt cheap price...

N. miranda was $35 here in Nebraska. That is three of those gorgeous N. rafflesiana on the West Coast, lol.

Hi Dustin,

very nice plants you have! The greenhouse seems to pay off.

The N. mira has a white rim below its peristome - is this due to the flash you were using for this photo or is this real?

Does your N. rajah also grow well in the greenhouse or is it struggeling with the high light levels like my biggest N. rajah does?

Cheers Joachim

Glenn, up to you.

Capslock and colinliew, thank you!

Schloaty, yes N. sibuyanensis can be a rajah mimic at times! If I hadn't labeled it I bet most woudl have guess N. rajah
smile.gif

Joachim, yes it's paying off finally
smile.gif
The mira, white rim deal might just be a one time deal. I have a few more pictures to share also of it and the rajah. Actually, it loves the brighter light! It has doubled to almost tripled in size from being brough from indoors to out there in the greenhouse. It is going to pitcher very soon also. The rajah is 32 cm across now versus 18cm across indoors.

here's a non-flash pic of the N. mira:

And rajah pics:

Whole rajah plant, also the maxima on the left is from Jeff Schafer.

Thanks a million Jeff, it sure is a beaut like you said it was!
rajah2.JPG

Pitcher preparing to swell in moss, there is another pitcher that is going to go first I hope. Didn't wanna bother it tho, it's buried in the moss.

Wow! That rajah looks impressive. Be sure to keep us updated on the pitcher...

I will collect some pollen when the flower opens. If possible, send some seeds my way, assuming you are succesful. I will PM you when I have some.

Glenn, sounds good. And sounds like a good cross, N. x rokko x N. maxima. What form is it? Highland/lowland and what area? Brunei/Tlatwiran?
