I was wondering if it is bad to fertilize a Nepenthes. I have a young N. Judith x Finn, and I was trying to revive it after it had been in my badly-made terrarium. Since it is winter now, I can't find any bugs, so I decided to apply fertilizer to my Nepenthe's leaves. It is doing great, and has produced a nice, red/green colored pitcher with spots on it and it was about 2.5 inches long. But I heard that fertilizer can stress the plants. Is this true? Once it gets warmer out, though, I will start to feed my Nepenthes bugs.

Well, if you fertilize in VERY dilute amounts foliarly, I think it can be done. As long as it is looking better, don't do anything else to it, just baby it along for now.
