did you raise it from the larvae? i had a "waterdog" once, really cool!
 
no the top pick is how i foun him with gills almost gone. i see he was on the piece of cork bark floating in his tank this morning. guess im going to have to set up a tank for him to dig in
 
tiger salamander?
 
oh you found him? neat. i thought they lived in mexico
 
tiger sallys? they range over most of the USA.
 
You are probably confusing tiger salamanders with axolotls which occur around Mexico City in Mexico. Mexico happens to have a few other species similar to tigers also.
 
oh yeah axolotls................they are Ambystoma mexicanum, close cousins to tiger salamanders

yea they live all over the place. while planting my moms tomato garden we accidently dug up two. i took them and released them in the creek behind us. i also found a HUGE one behind our church. oh what a fun time recess was....

ooh yeah axolotls is what i meant. i've never seen any tiger sally's in real life, only my axolotle
