Corn Snakes!

When I was living in CA gopher snakes were one that I would just pick up when I saw them and rarely saw any defensive attitudes, though they generally did try to crawl away. I do love to hear them hiss, tho'.

And I was trying to get some good shots of Rebel's color, since he's gotten huge...but this was all I got before for some inexplicable reason my mother walking by got him all riled up, bluff-striking and hissing away until well after I'd put him back. First time he's ever been that way...and he also hasn't acted like that since.

Among other headaches: it's nice that Namer is handleable right now, but for some reason he's also decided not to eat. Apparently this is a fairly common thing among boas and pythons in winter though. His future girlfriend is still a bottomless pit though.

Domhara's also become more frustrating to feed...though 10 minutes of teasing still manages to get her going if I try very late at night.

Halailah has also stopped eating...but she's also a bit chunky and could use some slimming down. Like Namer, it's also nice that she's stopped trying to eat my fingers

This one...does not. The castle is the only thing I have right now to try representing her real size (she's double its height at least and it's 4 1/2 feet tall) but it's still something also only appreciated in person
