Any good herp places you know?

Hi. I have been doing most of my herping in Modesto and Santa Cruz mountains, but now i want to focus my attention to places closer to home. Does anyone know any such place near SF? Mainly looking for cal kings and gophers (aand if anyone knows the location of zonata hahahahahahahaha

Once I saw a rattlesnake when I went to the berkely botanical gardens

No where near sf but remember try san jose.
 
Here are a a few places I have heard or have been to with some great herping:

Mendocino (spelling?) County-Said to have L.zonata zonata in the southern part.

Santa Cruz Mtns- Great for rubber boas and if you're lucky, a zonata (i have yet to find one).

Modesto-Cal king and gopher snakes
