Stick insects

If you were to ship a bug(or amphibian,ect), use a deli container with holes in the lid, and then put that in a box witht he ccrumbled paper. Punch some small airholes in the box, and you are set.
In S. Missouri, I saw some large stick insects, but I saw one in NE a coule of years ago. It was in the woods near a lake and was green and a couple of inches long. I was quite surprised.
