Utricularia humbolti
Years ago Barry Rice distributed some U. humboldii seed from plants in cultivation. I was fortunate to obtain some (I believe there is an old post on this). As you can see from the pictures below for some reason stolons with bladders often grow out of the media. My...

So here I am watching "Deadman's Curve" a 1978 bio-pic about the 60's Rock legend duo Jan and Dean. I couldn't help notice what those bags were in the back of the truck in the scene dramatizing Jan Barry's near fatal traffic accident.
Be careful around that stuff.
Drosera hamiltonii
Attractive and super easy to grow. Propagates prolifically from root offshoots on its own. Getting it to flower is a challenge. On top of that the flowers are self-incompatible meaning you need genetically different plants in order to produce seed. Years ago I managed to find...
Drosera regia clone C
What can you say about Drosera regia? Give it a cool (above frost) winters and plenty of room for the roots and it should grow well for you. The clone C designation seems to have come out of the Atlanta Botonical Gardens possibly from Henning Von Schmeling (of Dionaea B52...

Utricularia gramanifolia
This plant growing both terrestrially and aquatically for me (grows out of the drainholes into the cup). Seems happier as an aquatic. Another grower to whom I had given a portion to said it seems to want to grow optimally aquatically 12-18 inches below the surface. I'm...
