    Sarracenia leucophylla seeds

Good idea, that worked for me with these seeds about 2 months ago, and I received a message from a grower who got some seeds from me a couple weeks ago, he told me that his seeds germinate within 5 days after stratification!! So I'm now super curious about the potential of these leuco seeds.

    Mystery Traveler

just some moss spp, and definitely not sphagnum moss, which means it's not worth growing it with any other CPs, but it may add some greens to your garden if you want to keep it in its own pot.

Is it neccessary to stake sarracenia?

only my first year seedlings seem to have this problem, all other pitchers are quite strong. where do you grow them? small pots may lead to weak base/roots that make the plants like Sarracenia more vulnerable.

Update on my sarracenia sowing experiment

Haha, I was planning to do a 2wks stratification, but being a little bit impatient and took it out earlier. The results did surprise me, but I'm sure there were others that did 2wks stratification and got pretty high germination rate. - - - Updated - - - Let me know how yours turned out, I...

Update on my sarracenia sowing experiment

I was also surprised by the germination rate, but that's just what happened. And S.luecophylla is a special case that doesnt require a long stratification period, I've seen in other forum that their recommendation for this species stratification was 2wks.

    Damaged Venus Flytrap

Photosynthesis is like having a simple meal like burgers, fast energy source and low cost; eating bugs is like having a big french style dinner, a lot good things but cost more as well. When you are sick, all you need is some fast and efficient way to produce energy.

    Damaged Venus Flytrap

That's why they do photosynthesis as well, and traps usually dont function well when they are really stressed.

    Damaged Venus Flytrap

Clean the whole plant first and then repot it. East-facing windowsill will be good at the moment, once you see active growing of new traps (which means it's fully recovered and adapted) you can move it outside. Don't feed it, the only trap looks pretty sad to me, I don't think you want to make...
