can't you program the Apex to water and monitor certain parameters? i've always wondered if you could use an Apex in a grow chamber setup. How are you using yours and what devices is it controlling?
Haha, Swag, theres no dyes. that would be quite the tye die.
A bacterial bloom actually seems most plausible, since they can produce similar colors. Likely spurred on by the slight adjustment in temp I made albeit only a dead band change of 2º. However I'm not sure how much that change made...

I do use Maxsea, but thats a brown color when reconstituted so I'm not sure thats it. In natural light its not quite as bright, its more of a powder blue with reddish orange tips, instead of the purple. The only change to the set up is I changed my daytime temps deadband from four to two.
Recently some of my sphagnum moss has started turning bright purple blue and violet. Anyone else have moss like this? I grow under a combo of LEDs and T5 perhaps its a result of that. however this setup is almost 2 years old now and this is the first time I've seen this moss.
your N. vogeliiis looking great! and N. hamata is doing great. They're so fun once they settle in, and can be super fast growers. I think Mine can put out 2-3 pitchers in the time it takes some of my other plants to barely finish one.
Great N. singalana! You have a good point about, perhaps, its price affecting peoples appreciation for it. There are a few plants that are far less interesting morphologically speaking that seem to garner more respect or interest and they do tend to be on the pricey side, so perhaps theres...
Perhaps They should have waited to release it, to see if it was what they were selling it as. I agree Its a lovely and great growing plant, I love mine. I have several of the BE ones and they're great. I just wish I could get my hands on a "pure" version that has that famous squat shape.
I'll be posting some updates. This weekend. Growing plants in a box makes it tedious to take pictures and such so I don't do it often. My in box is now clear ;-)
very cool! N. clipeata is one of if not my favorite LL. I just love how it seems to try and hide its pitchers with its leaves like that. Its like its shy or something.
