Rookie needs help with Drosera Adelae

Hello --

My Drosera A has rotted all the way. I originally had it in some water but it started rotting so I took it out and started to give it more sunlight. (It was originally in my basement) Is there any way I can save it? It is growing in a small pot with a lid covering it. I live in the Detroit Area wher the winters are cold and dry with little sunlight but the summers are hot & humid. I purchased the plant through a reputable source last october.

Rotting is a sign it is too wet. try drying the pot out a little, remove any parts of the plant with mould on and see if it resprouts from the roots. D. adelae usually will regrow with no problems.

Thank you for the reply.

Also, should I take the cover off and put in in a tray of distilled water?

Yes! Here's an example:

Thanks for the comments --

My Sundew, Butterwort, and VFL are all together in a plastic tray and they are sucking up all the water I put in the tray. Should I keep watering the three plants or should I stop. All three soils seem pretty damp.
