I have supposed red and albino D. capensis next to each other. Currently, the red one is sending up a stalk. I know that this species "selfs", but is it possible to pollinate them by hand and produce something else? How would I time it?
... but would it be a true hybrid. capensis white form x capensis typical is still just capensis. In strong sunlight even a white flowered capensis can have a slightly pink tinge to the trapping hairs, so I would have thought the best difference you may possibly see is that the flowers are a paler mauve than on a normal typical.
