Drosera peltata - Germination

hello :D

take a look:

peltata1ss9.jpg

I have 3 litle Drosera peltata and 1 larger. :banana2:

1- I use sphagnum (1/3) and peat (5 seed)
2- I put it on a closed plastic bag with some water
3- Temp: +/- 30ºC for several week
4- Remove it to a terrarium, with 25ºC - 15Cm of the fluo lamp
5- Some time later, the larger one germinate (later on the others)

I know that the temp are to hot, if I folow the information that I have.

But now i'm affraid of send it to a lower temp, like 15/18ºC or less.
It s my first Drosera peltata seedling, so i cannot compare. Thats why i need some help.

- What do you think? my plant are ok?
- Do i really need to lower the temperature?
- Some other comment?

many tanks :D

It looks fine to me. D. peltata is a very forgiving tuborous form so I would not worry much if I were you. I have them growing in a small VFT bog which gets VFT treatment, meaning wet all summer and dry and cold all winter. I also have them growing in their own pot where they get moderately wet winters and are allowed to dry completely in summer. Every year I get regeneration in both pots so I believe that they can handle a pretty wide range of treatments.

Thanks for sharing. Is D. auriculata as forgiving?
