Do gemmae appear twice?

I thought I emptied out all of my crowns but I see more crowns with gemmae in them. Can the same crown put out more gemmae, after having been emptied out, within the same season?

I have had a similar experience with my pygmies. I'll collect all the gemmae, thinking that I've finally got the last of the little buggers and discover they have more gemmea a week later.

IT happened to me,
I harvested all of the gemmae crowns then came back from Hawaii 10 days later to find out each plant produced about 25 per plant.... Well I harvested that so we will see if I can get a 3rd harvesting

The D. allantostigma are extra prolific this year!
