D. Binata Pollination

Well, after having this plant around for a while, it's flowering. I am familiar with how to pollinate these things, and so I have been doing that as the flowers open. They open 1-2 at a time interestingly, and close within about 36 hours of opening.

I have heard people say that many of the D. Binata around will not self pollinate. This is not really a big deal, but has anyone had this work on one that was not grown from seed? I try and grow many of mine from seed, but this one was not.

I know that many plants in cultivation are sterile. Hopefully yours are not!

Good luck.

You may want to consider leaf propogation. This is an incredibly easy way of getting a lot of plants. This:

Turns into this in a couple months:

haha I'm jealous of your fallac tube system, I need to go tube shopping I guess :)

You don't really need tubes.

Just putting a leaf (floating) in a jar of water will do the trick.
