That's unusual! That was right from the crown? I used to have shoots to the side. What... no Perlite!
 
Yep, no perlite. :-))

Like you, I have also been taking plantlets appearing at the base of the plant and they worked. But this the second attempt on such offshoots on the plant itself, near the main growth point.
 
Real nice, shortly I may try the same thing with my paradoxa
 
awesome! what temperature and humidity are you growing yours in?
 
Hi trek623,

The plants as well as offshoot cuttings are growing in year round temperature above 30C (86F) in the day and 26C (79F) in the night. Humidity averages around 60%.
