I taped a coffee filter to the perimeter of a coffee cup and poured the 10 % bleach solution of seeds through.

The water can be poured out the side while holding in the seeds. Rinse and repeat, until most of the bleach scent is gone. There is one seed where the purple dye is visibly trailing.

Good idea!

Have you had increased germination rates with the bleach treatment?

I had 100% germination with bleach treatment (5/5) but the seeds were pretty fresh. However, from what I've read, it sounds as though dead LFS has some special property about it that makes bleaching unnecessary. I'm yet to compare this though.

B. liniflora is consistently inconsistent, enigmatic, and totally confusing! And yes, we are talking about seeds!
