Drosera "curviscapa" in South Africa

Hi,

we only found Drosera curviscapa in the Fernkloo Nature Reserve near Hermanus. In cultivation this plant is also known as Drosera sp. "Hermanus" oder Drosera aliciae "Hermanus".

Beautiful plants!. Many from S. Africa seem to have leaves that open from the centre in the same way.

Another I never grew. This seems distinct from other taxa, hard to imagine why this isn't a valid publication! These are the best photo's I've ever seen of this!

Gorgeous specimens

Hi,

yes, this was one of the plants i really wanted to see, due to all the problems within this complex (aliciae/esterhuyseniae/curviscapa). I think, the publication is even valid.

regards,
Christian

This is another one for the wish list! I love the coloration of the tentacles in the middle photos.
