sowing temperate dews

whens the best time to sow temperate seeds? ive got some filiformis and rotundifolia seeds i want to put in my bog garden. can i do it now or should i wait until mid feb or march to do it?

Doing it now will give the seed stratification, but watch out for rain washing the seed out or covering it over. Perhaps covering it with LFS or live sphagnum may help, or even a cloth "tent" can help.

Good luck!

Good warning there and because of it I would suggest you strat the seed in your fridge and sow into the bog next season.

Put the seeds in a plastic bag or container of water, in the fridge, for about a month and a half, before sowing.

alrighty then... ill just wait til spring comes again. hopefully it'll last another six months in the fridge. been there for five already....
