Ooooohhh... gemmae! That just shows to go ya that photoperiod dominates over temperature.

My gemmae have started early this year too. One of my plants that started from gemmae in Dec produced gemmae in March and now it's going again. Pupule!

Growing outside. Cant imagine trying pygmies inside and changing photo period. We are actually in a subtropical location so we do have seasonal changes, just hard at times to see. Perhaps I see more as early morning Mt. Haleakala blocks the morning sun and in the evenings same things happen via the west maui mountains.
 
Fantastic! I always love it when the sphagnum looks pristine, too!

Drosera menziesii subsp. menziesii flowers. Had two different plants flower so twacked them together and hope they are pollinated.
