cp777's Drosera arcturi trips

Well yesterday I went up a mountain near where I live to see some Drosera arcturi. I seem to be able to pick the best weather to go up lol - I chose a massive cold snap - if u see any white patches they are hail not snow. I will post some pics of a trip I did last autumn later. Enjoy. :)

Great pics. I love this species and it's especially great to see growing wild. I look forward to seeing the pics from the previous trip.

Just found the old pics here they are:

Really beautiful. Seeing the flower stalks and spent seed pods is very interesting. I also love the look of your native bogs, dismally lovely.

Beautiful. Really miss the Australian countryside. Keep us up to date with more pics, Stephen.

The shrubs were a lot taller before it got burnt in the black Saturday bushfires. I never saw any drosera near the sticks where the tall shrubs were.

very jealous! and so encouraging to see them growing in full force....thriving even!

All very nice. This is such an interesting and mysterious species it is a treat to see so many photos of it and its habitat. Great-looking sphagnum, too. I hope you had a hat or hood.

I did, I had a waterproof jacket. O, and I will be happy to answer any questions about the habitat.

Not that I saw, but a rare possum lives there.
