Any disputes aside, I am enjoying the posts of wonderful hybrid plants. It is nice to see petiolaris 'dews included.

Another excellent article, again by John Brittnacher, can be found at: http://www.carnivorousplants.org/cp/...hromosomes.php This includes a fairly complete list of more commonly-grown sundews which tells at a glance which species should be compatible for hybridizing. It includes an extensive bibliography and still more nice photos.

i believe he had no right whatsoever, and you don't need any excuse to do what you want with your own things either

Here are some D. x hybrida (polyploid, fertile) leaf cuttings along with their plantlets.

Since the pictures were taken I have removed and planted the little ones and replaced what was left of the leaves into clean water to see if others may still sprout. Wish me luck!

    D. venusta x capensis "alba"

Pictured with a typical capensis for comparison. The hybrid has much thicker leaves and a yellowish color.

    Nice color on that hybrid!
I don't have anything to post yet, but in a few months hopefully my newly sprouted D. tokaiensis x spatulata 'Tamlin' and D. sp. Lantau Island x madagascariensis seedlings will have made some headway.....

An interesting cross. Capes seem to offer a lot for hybridizing, not the least being hardiness.

How about some F1 generation seeds. Most of these are probably crosses that haven't been recorded or done before.
