Well this was a surprise ...

carnivorous plants of the world -- unite!
One of my D. capensis is doing particularly well -- it's currently about 7-8" in diameter.

So while watering it the other day, I noticed a great deal of green on the media and figured, "Hmm, looks like a bed of moss is well underway."

But upon closer inspection, I discovered that I was quite wrong, so very wrong ...
 
Lol, I know the feeling too well! I feel like I spend more time weeding out capensis from my pots than actual weeds!
