I dont think they are that common if naturaly occuring, but you have a good chance of getting one if you cut back the growth point on your plant. However, I have never done this to my plants.
Here's some pics of mine. It produced the multiple heads last year, but not this year. It must have exhausted the poor guy, because this year, it's leaves are nowhere as large as the previous year
