Drosera capensis 'forked scape'...

With a D. Capensis 'Forked Scape', is it the same as a normal D. Capensis with two flower scapes or is there something more?

I didn't know a capensis 'forked scape' existed! I doubt it does.(or does it?

) I think any drosera can have a forked scape once or twice in it's lifetime.

(My drosera spatulata scapes have forked several times, I'm sure it's normal)

There is a plant by that description in Lowrie's catalog(or update). I presume the scape forks at some point and there are two flower stalks.

Regards,

Joe

Yeah, I didn't realize it either. But I was flipping through the lowrie catalog, making up a new wish list and I ran across it. Not really sure, but it sounded interesting.

I'm just trying to figure out if there's ever been a forked capensis (leaves not scape).

So a forked stem is a stem that splits into two or three stems I assume? Like this?

Larry,

Did you get any forked leaves? Only occasionally, my D.capensis "Mutant" produces forked flower scapes. I have yet to witness forked leaves.

I've had a couple of forked leaves.  Here's a pic of one.

Where'd you pic that one up?

Ah, that's my very first CP I picked up at Home Depot
