Because IMHO, they are much easier to raise from seed and I don't think I could do a leaf cutting again even if I tried. I think it was just a happy accident that came out of tragedy.
The horror part was watching my entire pot full of the species die within a couple of days. I'd given it up for dead when I noticed one or two still hanging on for dear life!
