Sometimes its hard to tell why a plant just keeps on failing despite your best efforts. I think I have finally figured it out. It's the relative position of Mars to the Earth! When a plant keels over for no reason, this is known as the "Martian Effect". Sounds pretty good, huh?
Makes me wonder if this cutting is surviving be'cos of the recent Mars-Earth encounter...no kidding, now that you mentioned it, the cutting was potted during that period when Mars was closest to us! And I knocked it over once too!
And the subsequent plantlets from the same root cutting ain't so tough...and are still in incubation!
