D. nidiformis

My D. nidiformis flowered again! Yay! I was extremely lucky and happened to notice it when it was fully open.

Hi,

Nice picture! It has only four petals. Drosera usually have five. This happens from time to time.

Aaah, yes! I was wondering about that. Is there any reason why the plant produced a mutated flower? Will it continue to do so, or is this just a one-time occurence?

Here is a old picture of my D. nidiformis. This flower has 5 petals.

Nice photo! Environmental issues (probably seasonal) might explain the 4merous flower. Thanks for sharing!
