soil mix for sundews

hi,
ive seen many people use spahgum moss (LFS) and ive seen many people use peat/sand...
which is better for you?Only now i realised that peat/sand is good because its not messy, i used to use 100% pure LFS and seeds don't really sprout on it. What do you think i should use??
