I think you could take it off now but it would probably be better to wait till it has 5 open traps.
 
Ahhh, another one to add to the list. Again, another demonstration of the fact that sepals are modified leaves. Sometimes these root, sometimes not. I would wait a bit, and then bend the scape down to the substrate, anchoring it so the plantlett has contact with the substrate.

Poster, yessir, it sure does. I don't know why, but it's happened to me.
