D. filifromis & soil mixture

Greetings everyone. I just received 2 bareroot D. filifromis plants. I do have sphagnum (fibers and seeding) and vermiculite(sp?). I also have collected soil from some previous carnivorous plants that came with them. The plants also have seed pods.

My question is what is the best soil mixture to place them into? Can I put them in straight sphagnum? Should I leave the seed pods or remove them? Any other suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dwight

Welcome to the forums! You can use what you have on hand. I haven't found this species to be picky at all. They will grow in water, alone! I'll ket someone else answer about the pods, as this is beyond my experience. I use leaf cuttings to propogate them.
