I set up a simple table with most all Nepenthes species broken into the five common categories; ultra-lowland, lowland, intermediate, highland, and ultra-highland. I have based the placement on altitudinal distribution mostly. I also have temperature range at the top of each category.

The moss from the N. adnata terrarium (spelled breadbox) is turning red.
However, when I removed two growing tips (one turning red and one green) from the breadbox and placed them under T5 HO lights...

HELP!! I just received an egg case in the mail! Haven't got the slightest idea which species it is yet (until friend comes online) but the case looks kinda dry.
Can I keep it inside the terrarium where the N. adnata is?

For many years, the ones that grew and eventually died at my balcony - I attributed the reason to the fact that N. adnata is found at altitudes of 600-1200m...so cool conditions must be preferred since the demise is ALWAYS during the hot season (May-August).
I thought of giving up on this...
