Hi TF - I've got some seed of a few South American Drosera. I've never grow this group before, but plan on doing so in my highland room. Generally their culture seems straight forward and I'm not super concerned about their germination - except...
I've read some strong preferences for media...
I'm looking for any South American Drosera. Particularly interested in D. graomogolensis, D. solaris, D. esmereldae, D. felix, D. ascendens, D. villosa, and D. meristocaulis. I have lots of subtropical sundews and Mexican pings, and could probably trade some fun primary Nepenthes hybrids if the...
Once I was in a store and there was a corner in which some really strange plants were standing.
They shall eat meat or something like that and they are probably dangerous. No risc no fun. I took one of the glistening with the sticky leaves.
About 10 years later ......
I have one rare adult flowering sized Drosera Felix Tuku Muruku, Gran Sabana. It is a pretty big D. Felix that will flower this year and has already previously. Its about the size of a nickel.
Looking for Cephalotus,
Drosera Schizandra, Hamiltonii, Adalae, Prolifera, Ascendens, and other...
It is with great pleasure (and relief) that I would like to announce the publication of a 40-page paper that summarizes 23 years of field work with the Drosera villosa complex in Brazil. I think I wrote the first draft of this article back in 1997, but the writing only truly...

D. ascendens (Caminho do Mar,São Bernardo do Campo,Brazil)
D. ascendens (Serra de Ponta Grossa, Campo Largo, Parana, Brazil)
D. ascendens (Itarare, Sao Paulo, Brazil)
I have been hunting around various seed selling web sites in the hope of expanding my meagre Drosera collection into something more exotic. Then it occurred to me that I ought to ask you guys first...yes?!
Does anyone please have any of the following Droserae (or similar) and is willing...

drosera madagascariensis. Don't know...
Still in need of spiralis/graminifolia, different locales of D. ascendens, and I hoard D. schizandra.. so that's always an option as well.

Just some pics.. feel free to add if you like.
A couple D. montana var. tomentosa that arrived about 2 weeks ago.
in the pot next to that, D. graomogolensis on peat (rather than LFS). Experimenting with different medias atm..
a couple of the LFS pots, first up D. ascendens...
A few things I'm currently looking for:
D. ascendens 'Red Hairy'
N. lowii x truncata 'squat'
and some other stuff, I forget what.
