Somehow this bind weed can grow under sidewalks and plastic with no light and probably little to no water. I removed some decorative rock covering a plastic barrier and cut some slits in the plastic to plant some low water plants. I found vines of bind weed under the plastic. These vines were...
Due to a mistake on my part, and amazing generosity on the part of the seller, I find myself with a few extra of this temperate terrestrial orchid. The genus Goodyera are mostly grown for their interesting foliage, like a temperate jewel orchid. The winner will receive 3 bare root plants. To...
I just harvested a whole bunch of Devil's Claw seed pods and have a bunch of extra seed now, I've promised some out already but I don't see why I shouldn't be able to come up with packs for at least 2 more people.
Shipping is on me, but could anyone recommend the best way to go about that...
Hi,
I was just wondering, can you do a cutting from the flower stalk from a nepenthes? I have a couple that are starting to flower, and before i cut them off and compost them, it occurred to me that you might be able to do cuttings with them.
Has anyone tried and had any success?
Thanks!!
Its kinda sad to me that anyone would do this let alone BELEIVE That this could even be possible..

I recently just started to take care my 1st VFT. Had a great time feeding for the first time since it was store bought from HD. Now after I fed it i wanted it to get used to the California sun with enough shade on it. So after a few days after i fed my boy, some of the traps turned black and...
Last year I took a trip to the northern portion of Michigan and the southern portion of Upper Peninsula. On the trip I encountered various carnivorous plants and orchids.
Emmet County (Day 1):
The first site was quite unique compared to similar sites I have been to. All of these plants...
Hello all! I haven't been very active on this forum, so this will be my first official contribution!
So yesterday I recieved 10 Drosera Regia seeds from Petar Kostov. To those of you who do not know of Petar, he's a skilled grower from Bulgaria who specializes in Regia and Drosophyllum (in...
Hi All, I have recently set up a highland tent. I have a window mount AC cut into the side of the tent and a bucket humidifier with 8 single disc pond foggers circulating back and forth from the tent similar to Kyles basement setup.
The issue I am having is that whenever the AC unit kicks on it...
I basically just cut my sister's Dahlia tenuicaulis to the ground. It needed a little (or a lot) of pruning and rejuvenation. This is a moderately fragrant, magenta-flowered plant, which tends to be bushier than Dahlia imperialis. It also tends to bloom more year round, instead of just...
Succulent package
This package contains:
1 Echeveria Black Prince cutting
Good-sized/mature cutting. Would not be unreasonable to expect them to bloom this winter/spring. Full sun is necessary for best coloration.
10 Echeveria runyonii Topsy Turvy cuttings
Smallish cuttings which I would...
The hybrid, hawaiian vendor, is called N. x Sophia, which is Alata x Eclipse but i have never found out what the parents of 'Eclipse' are so ill leave that up to you. If anyone has any info on eclipse, i would love to hear it.
These cuttings arent from a highly spectacular nep or anything...

I have been looking for a tray of some kind with dimensions ~48x18x6 inches. Does such a thing exist? I would think it should, considering how many people have greenhouses around the world. I am open to plastic trays of any kind that would be around that size, but I have not found any. Usually...
I was hoping someone might have some ideas to help me resolve an issue with growing media. Several months ago, I began growing 4 Nepenthes in 100% perlite hydroponically. The plants are watered 3 times a day for 15 min. each (the minimum time interval on my timer) with nutrient solution. They...
Hi all,
Out of sheer luck, our 5-year-old N. bicalcarata has decided to create its first flower stalk ever! The buds are still too primordial to sex the plant, but it appears to be a male inflorescence. I am willing to send pollen--not particular at all what it gets crossed with--for a cut of...
Echeveria package
Whilst I am well aware this is a cp forum, I also know that there are other plant nuts besides myself who are in possession of (or are possessed by) rather eclectic tastes in ?shrubbery?. This may be of interest for those individuals. The package contains:

I lost quite a few plants this winter but I have a Sarracenia that is sending up much smaller pitchers than usual. Should I dig it up and cut away the part of the rhizome that is dead or should I just leave it be. I'm a bit concerned that the dead part may have some kind of 'rot' that will...
