Hi everyone!
Im looking to convert a spare room into an indoor greenhouse for nepenthes and wanted to get some advice/opinions. The room is a little over 8ft x 5 ft, the cabinets and the gecko cage will be removed.
1. Going to repaint/cover the walls to be water resistant to the high...
Hi Everyone,
I have recently started a mini nepenthes collection in a small greenhouse I have converted to house tropical plants.
This thread will just be a running album of some hand-picked photos from my Flickr page.
I am really interested to see if you are growing some of the same species...
Hello all
I have been on the forums for a little while now, but its time i ask for help.
I've been struggling with nepenthes for as long as i can remember, so i took a long break from them and did as much research as i could and did a lot of reading before i committed to getting more neps...
Me and the other half went to our local greenhouse on sunday and found thees.
This guy was in a hanging pot and was huge.
Then there was this guy wish I had the cash for it.
Not sure why the pics arent working but if you right click and open in new tap you van see them.
First winter with a greenhouse, and I was told to let the ponds dry out, so the plants aren't standing in water. That's fine, but what happens when/if the plants dry out? Given that they won't get any rain in there, if we have some warm days (which does sometimes happen!), they will dry out...
Hello everybody,
My baby cephs are turning yellow and I'm unsure why, it is in the same conditions as my other ones but one ones pitchers are turning yellow and the other the leaves and a pitcher are as well(already had to cut two ) Could I be giving it too much light (they are under T5 bulbs)...
Hi guys,
New here. Everyone calls me Ale for short, they say my name is to long. Anyways, I love plants overall but I'm fascinated by carnivorous plants, have my mini greenhouse in my condo. Looking forward to meeting and chatting with all of you and learn along the way. :-)
Best
Ale
First post on these forums, so saying hello
I've been active on the CPUK forum for a while, but that seems to be going too quiet, so I thought I'd come and join here.
Been growing CPs for only a couple of years, but in that time I've gone from one D. Capensis on my office windowsill to...

I've been experimenting with growing Nepenthes hydroponically since March 2015, so for about a year and a half now. I'd like to share my results in this thread, and then give some details about my method. Thanks to TF member knuckles for sharing with me his experiences growing Nepenthes...

Hi I opened the door to the greenhouse this morning and first thing I noticed was a horrible smell I was looking around for a dead rat or something and then I noticed this
Is this how this flower starts out or was this alittle premature? It seems really small and has already opened up.Iam...
Hi all,
I have one of those cheaper walk-in 'greenhouses' and I'd like to set up one of the little Orbit 10ft misting systems in it (the kind that connects to a hose). I'm trying to set it up on a timer in such a way that it mists for maybe 1 or 2 mins every half hour, only during the hottest...
This plant was purchased as an unknown Poi dog which came from a nursery in a warm climate, and its doing well in my LL greenhouse....
I really like this plant and I'm curious to hear input on what parents you guys think may be the influencing this plant

Titan Arum / Corpse Flower / Amorphophallus titanum blooming at Cal State Fullerton Biology Greenhouse.
The first one is done blooming, but there's a second one that should open any day now. If you're local, come see it!
This morning, we pulled out a couple of small tubs of lilies from behind a greenhouse ( wintering position) and put them out into their summer location. MrsG started to weed them and found a few little welcome surprises.
Here I am, starting threads like crazy again, but that's irrelevant.
My dad told me that he was planning to build me a small greenhouse this summer (not sure how big yet) and I was hoping to heat it to 50-60 degrees in winter so that my neps could stay somewhere more humid and sunny in winter...
I love going up to the LACPS meets cuz I get to go up and meet up with Not a Number, so I headed up today to go say hi! Usually I bring some stuff up, but I had to go empty-handed today because nothing I've got in propagation right now has the proper amount of roots. The meet was at UC...
As i look through my greenhouse i have noticed that my Mirabilis var. Globosa is much paler than the rest of my plants. All the plants were moved into the greenhouse a few months ago and have adapted well. Although my "Viking" has grown by leaps and bounds, and is now begining to show signs of...
