Hi all,
Just a few photos of Drosera that I stumbled across in Scotland.
I shot them with my phone—taking pictures of sundews wasn't planned—so, no great shakes as regards photo quality.
Thought you might like them nonetheless.
These are from the East Coast, 2013:
Hey folks. After doing lots of reading I've decided to try my hand first at an outdoor container bog. As I've mentioned in previous posts I'm in Texas, zone 9, near Houston. I plan to do mostly sarracenia with a couple VFT, sundews, bladderwort, and even a cobra lily if one would survive for...
Hi everyone,
I got into CPs a little over a year ago and have been referencing this and other forums for loads of care information and ideas so I figured it's about time to join in. I grow mostly Nepenthes, but have a few sundews, butterworts, flytraps, a cephalotus and an H. minor. Most of...
Hey folks. I'm very new around here. This is my first attempt at CP. I've made the classic hobbyist mistake that I've scolded so many fellow reefers for doing, which is buying livestock before you research. Luckily I didn't mess up too bad
I recently picked up a S. Purpurea, and a VFT from...
Hi folks.
I am looking for somebody who is sort of an expert in Drosera. I have a project I am working on that I am not really allowed to discuss in public until the production is complete. I can say my part of the project involves some sundews (a rather rare species to cultivate), and I am...
I got this plant about a month ago. It doesn't seem to like its current growing conditions. I am growing it with my petiolaris Drosera (which are doing great) on a windowsill in an enclosed container. The humidity and temperatures are pretty high.
The plant has shrunk even though I have fed...
I know that B52 is supposed to grow much faster than red dragon and tends not to divide as much, but how much faster?
What is the fastest growing Venus Fly Trap Cultivar?
Are my Venus fly traps and Sundews going to grow on these magic Chinese growing crystals or will they kill them...
Hi everyone as anyone can assume i'm pretty new here but im pretty old in the plant world hahaha!
The seeds i am offering are N. Lingulata and N. Reinwardtiana (a bunch if mixed color clones) they havent been sitting long and i would like to try to trade them with a few people before their...
Looking for a rhizome or two of Dionaea 'Alien'. I've got Mexican pings, sundews, and some Utricularia to trade. Check my growlist. PM and we can work something out.
Hi, all! So... talk about a lesson learned the hard way. My two-year-old daughter thought it would be oh so hilarious if she yanked out the ID tags on 8 of the 13 species of pygmy sundew whose gemmae I acquired for the first time this past fall.
In short, I have no idea which sundews are which...

In December I purchased 30 or so seeds from Australia of D. stolonifera, and was able to germinate 3 plants. Through PM's to different members I tried to find out how long it usually took for the plants to begin their upright growth, or if this would not occur until a few years of growth. With...
from Southern California. You all might know me from my famous work, Colchicine Treatment on Sterile Hybrid Sundews. That’s why they call me “Franken-Snyder”. I am still at it, although my monstrosity collection is much more modest these days.
I have found these sundews in the pot of a recent sarracenia purchase and would be grateful for any guesses as to what they are. Im thinking that the ones to the outside are tubers? They appear to be the same species.
I have been trying to find at least one drosera and one byblis to grow outside
With my sarracenia but I cant decide what I should try.
I really like the Indica complex, and I was considering
B. Filifolia or lamellata. All perferrably annuals.
What are the dewiest/ largest sundews you guys...
I'm developing a fairly serious aphid problem in a few of my trays (Drosera mostly at this point), and want to try a topical application of Neem oil per this article on Grow Sundews. However, I'm having trouble getting the neem oil to emulsify. The label suggests using 2 tsp of dish soap per...
Drosera tokaiensis x spatulata "white flower"
Up for sale is one fully mature, possibly flowering plant selected from my parent pot of plants. This is a personal hybrid, between two of the most vigorous sundews I've seen. This plant averages around 2 inches across, with elongate spoon shaped...
Drosera spatulata "white flower" x 'Tamlin'
Up for sale is one plant selected from my parent pot of plants. Both parents of this cross are white-flowered spoonleaf sundews and very vigorous, and the offspring are no different. Reaching at least 2.5" across, they have semi-erect tapering leaves...
Drosera spatulata "white flower"
Up for sale are two (2) adult plants selected from my parent population. This form of spoonleaf sundew is extremely vigorous, reaching over 2" across regularly and will flower near-constantly. They produce elongate, spatulate leaves that will blush bright red in...
