Has anyone ever tried to force Sarracenia to flower?
I am trying an experiment to see if it will work. I am working on the principle that ethylene gas forces some plants to flower.
I am just burning leaves and allowing the smoke to fill an aquarium. The 50 gallon aquarium is one its side and has a partial glass covering mounted of one side to hold the smoke a little longer.
A clay water dish is used to burn the leaves. I let the fire go out before putting the dish in the aquarium so the heat will not build up and stew the Sarra.
Rotting fruit also produces ethylene gas.
