Wanted to share some pictures and details about my indoor grow setup. Once (or thrice) upon a time, I cultivated my own cannabis. Though it’s been about a decade since I grew my last pot plant, that is where I gathered most of my knowledge and affinity towards gardening.

About a year and a half ago I decided to get back into the indoor gardening hobby and started my little basement adventure with (way too many) tomato plants. Today, my tent houses a few pepper plants (bell and some odd fellows grown from what I believe was a mexibell pepper,) some basil (genovese as well as lemon which is flowering for seed,) a sweet potato plant which I do not have high hopes for, a whole bunch of NoID VFT seedlings at about 6-7 weeks since sewing, d. capillaris Emerald’s Envy and Long Arm and some leaf cuttings from them I’m propagating in water. Outside of the tent I also have some kale (scarlet and dwarf Siberian,) oak leaf green luttuce seedlings, arugula and some fig tree cuttings being propagated.

The tent is an 2’x4’ AC Infinity CLOUDLAB 642 (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08MNSYN21) with AC Infinity AIRTITAN T3 fan and controller (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07JNNC3TZ) and two static 6” fans for circulation and temperature control. For lighting I have a ViparSpectra XS2000 (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CHCFCG1) inside and a ViparSpectra XS1000 (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08S7H6D48) outside of the tent. For humidity control, I’ve modified a Levoit Dual 200S (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09KT9ZK7Q) by removing the hygrometer and extending a probe to a central location in the tent as well as connecting it to a RODI reservoir that is gravity fed using a float valve for volume control.

Please let me know if you have any questions and definitely if you have any suggestions! Spent a long time dialing this system in for my veggies and the CPs have been a fun addition and learning experience.

Cheers!
Andrew

That's a good start. If you want something more, rails or grates on the tent walls will give you a lot more potential space for plants

About 10 years ago I was really into indoor hydroponic gardening. Pepper, tomato, and a few odds and ends stuff. I used to hang out in the local hydroponic store, and I'm fairly confident I was the ONLY one there paying with anything other than cash, and not using it to grow cannabis. But the store had a *wink wink* atmosphere about it, non judgmental, so it was all good.

Was hanging out in the store once, and a guy in his mid-50's showed up asking about how to get started growing indoors. Everyone knew what he meant. So the store owner started showing him a good intro kit, the lights, trays, nutrients and stuff. Ended up coming to about $800, which for what he was getting wasn't a bad deal. After explaining all of it, the guy said "So for $800, how in the hell am I ever going to be able to grow enough tomatoes to pay for all of this ?!?!?!" The store owner's eyes got big, then he sighed, and had to spend the next 30 minutes explaining how much better a hydroponic tomato tastes, and how you can have fruits and vegetables whenever you want, and on and on, in an attempt to not make it look like the store was a giant drug front, lol.
