I recently purchased N. Northiana (5 minutes ago) and I was wandering what the best soil mix is for this species or the soil mixes that have worked for you and any other helpful tips in its cultivation.

I hate to seem self-promoting, but there is some information about this
on my website, here.
Moreoever, I've written a detailed article about my experiences with this species,
which I hope will appear in the December issue of the Carnivorous Plant Newsletter.
If you are not yet a member of the International Carnivorous Plant Society, and therefore
a recipient of this journal, I recommend that you become one.  Click on the following link
for more information: ICPS.

I use a more peaty mix....

Other than that.. warm and humid with indirect light.

Jeff, No harm in linking to cultivation information on your website.

Virus, all the stories told about an alkaline media are false Northiana may grow on limestone outcrops but is always rooted in some sorta of debris/soil/sphagnum moss that is acid and nutrient devoid err devoid of nutrients.
